What is a Rolee Polee?
Named after that famous little bug that rolls into a ball when you touch it. The reason we call it a Rolee Polee is because of its curvy ergonomic shape. In addition, it is a true trackball that requires you to "roll" the ball. Therefore, both its function and shape were important factors behind the Rolee Polee name. Can the Rolee Polee cure Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
First of all, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (also called median neuropathy at the wrist) is a medical condition in which a nerve gets pinched at the carpal tunnel in the wrist. There is much debate in the medical community as to what actually causes Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Many believe that it is purely genetics while others believe that it is work related and caused by repetitive motion. However, keep in mind that just because you experience wrist pain, does not mean you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. With that in mind I would say that yes, the Rolee Polee can help reduce wrist pain that is caused by repetitive motion mainly due to the fact that it allows you to position your hand, wrist, and/or arm in a different position. However, I can't say that it can cure Carpal Tunnel Syndrome especially if it is of the genetic type. With that being said, I believe that the Rolee Polee could still help relieve some of the pain caused by the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome due to the fact that it allows you to place your hand in many different positions. In conclusion, I'm not going to say that the Rolee Polee is a cure for any and all wrist pain, but I will say that it can certainly be a help to many people. Ask your Doctor if the Rolee Polee is right for you!
